Configuring Azure Cost Management Exports
Cloud View - Data#3 uses Azure Cost Management Exports to import detailed billing and usage data for analysis and optimisation.
Exports generate daily CSV files and save them to a Storage Account that you control.
Cloud View - Data#3 reads these files to update your Cost Explorer, Trends, and Recommendations dashboards (including others).
Before You Begin
Before configuring exports, ensure:
- You know your Azure account type (EA, MCA, PAYG, or CSP) — this determines which setup guide to follow. How to check →
- You've created a dedicated Storage Account for cost exports.
- You've completed the Application Registration setup, including granting storage account access.
Choose Your Setup Guide
| Account Type | Setup Guide |
|---|---|
| Enterprise, MCA, or Pay-As-You-Go | Standard Export Setup |
| CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) | CSP Export Setup |
💡 For CSP customers, Cloud View - Data#3 can automatically create and manage exports once granted the proper role permissions.
See Automated CSP Export Setup for details.
